About
St Mary’s Church House
St
Mary’s Church stands at the top of historic Harrow Hill. The church has
crowned the Hill for over 9oo years and is visible from miles around. Beyond the
churchyard stretch woods and open fields, the ancient school and the narrow
streets of the old village.
Adjacent
to the church stands St Mary’s Church House and the vicarage. The vicarage is
a Georgian building and St Mary’s Church House is a Victorian annex built
between the vicarage and the old stables; which now house the Parish Office.
St
Mary’s Church House has been converted into a small retreat/conference centre
providing self-catering accommodation for 10-12 people. The house offers a quiet
atmosphere away from the bustle of modern life and yet is within very easy reach
of Central London via the Metropolitan Tube line station, 10 minutes walk away.
For
school groups, Church House makes a
perfect location for visits to the galleries and museums of Central London, and
the rich variety of theatres.
